Blue Mosque Dome
We woke up the next morning and went down for our breakfast. It was a buffet, so we could pick whatever we liked. I chose some tasty pancakes with Nutella and some orange juice. Then I had some peaches, watermelon, melon, grapes and tried some Turkish tea. It was very bitter!
Today we are going to visit the Blue Mosque! We got changed into nice clothes and I wore a purple maxi dress. We walked there so that we would have a better chance of seeing everything! Luckily, my dad brought a map so that we could find our way! We soon reached the mosque and oh it was so amazing! You have got to see it! I have put a photo up so you can have a nice look.
We took part in the Friday prayer and then walked outside where, suddenly, we saw a huge purple, pink and blue fountain! We took lots of selfies and had a lovely little snack of Sensations crisps and a Capri-sun pouch of juice. We cleaned our hands and carried on making our way out until I saw a black and white cat. I stroked it and stroked it. I really wanted to keep it, but suddenly a black cat appeared with another ginger one followed a very chubtabone. I found out there were a lot of stray cats in Istanbul! Aww, I wished I lived there so that I could adopt all of them! We then took some more photos of the cat and we finished walking out.
By then we were starving! We found Burger King but we said let’s leave that for tomorrow, but then right round the corner was KFC! My dad said lets go eat there! I was very happy and delighted that I could have a rest on the comfy chairs and eat! We ordered four trays, two with wraps and two with burgers. We had three cokes and one Fanta for my mum and dad. The burgers were huge and I didn’t think I could eat a whole one but I did! I had some chips along with some chicken wings and chicken nuggets and a little bite from my mums wrap.
On the way back to our hotel, we bought six bottles of water, as we couldn’t drink the water from the taps, a bottle of Fanta and a carton of milk. We had some coffee in our hotel room and, as we were weary and tired, fell right to sleep after a nice movie. Well I watched Spider Man 2!
